Due to the extreme cold temperatures forecasted for the region over the next few days, the City of Lockport Code Blue Warming Shelter will be open at the Salvation Army for residents in need from Thursday, Jan. 10 to Sunday, Jan. 13.
The warming shelter will be open each day from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., and any homeless person or individuals without heat may spend the evening at the Salvation Army facility, located at 50 Cottage St. in Lockport.
Light refreshments and cots and blankets are available at the shelter to ensure all individuals are comfortable and safe. Entry is open until midnight each evening.
