Ribbon Cutting for Veteran’s Monument

There will be an official ribbon-cutting to commemorate the restoration of Veteran’s Monument on East Avenue at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, August 30.

This monument was built in 1930 at the beginning of the Great Depression and was erected in memory of those who made the supreme sacrifice. Senator Ortt helped secure $100,000 in state funding to restore this beautiful monument.

Mayor David Wohleben, Senator Robert Ortt, Assemblyman Michael Norris and other dignitaries will be on hand for the ribbon cutting.  All media are welcome.
